When you first quit smoking, you most likely will not feel like yourself. Your appetite may change, feel more irritable, dull, and tense. These type of symptoms occur due to the lack of nicotine in the body. Many people have a very difficult time handling the way they feel after they quit. This often leads to starting up smoking again just to feel normal. This typically occurs within the first week after quitting. This is when the feelings of withdrawal are the strongest.
